A gorgeous summer day filled with rows of quaint, colorful vendor stalls showcasing everything from handmade crafts to hand roasted coffee, jewelry, and more! The best part is the collective community spirit and support that makes The Big Apple family swell with pride and joy!

Located outdoors on The Big Apple's vast, lush grounds, our Local Country market combines the best of local craftsmanship and talent with the welcoming atmosphere of a community gathering.

A unique shopping experience

Each stall and vendor brings something unique to the market, making it worth visiting every time. We’ve got artisans and vendors from all walks of life showing off their skills. Rustic woodwork, hand-sewn garments, and even artisanal candies and personalized portraits… We’ve got them all!

It’s also a great place for photographers and families who want some quality downtime away from the busy city life and enjoy the natural beauty around. So, grab your camera or simply enjoy the moment – With all the yummy treats and happy vibes, you’ll be having a party all day long.

Exciting highlights from the last year

Last year's market was nothing short of epic. We saw a record number of visitors who left with bags full of unique goods and hearts full of joy.

Many of our vendors became instant hits, offering quality products and memorable interactions. Why not give you a highlight of a few? So you can get what we have in store for you this year as well?

Last year, we kicked things off with Tay’'s Crochet, where yarn spun into whimsical wonders! It was a cozy corner for anyone who loves to snuggle up with hand-knitted toys and decor. She poured her heart and skills into every piece, from charming amigurumi creatures to warm scarves and beanies, making every living space feel a bit more loved and cozier.

Then, there was Amanda May Designs, a real treat for pet owners who see their furry friends as family. Amanda captured the souls of pets in her portraits and photographs, showcasing her artistic skills and her deep connection with animals. Be it a lifelike portrait or a playful snapshot, she preserved the precious bonds between pets and their humans.

That’s (not) all!

Monarch Sweets whipped up some delicious freeze-dried candy creations that were all about the texture. Their candies weren't chewy; they were crunchy, airy, and delightfully soft. The selection included tangy sour worms, peachy rings, and colorful rainbow droplet candies. Whether you loved zesty or sweet & juicy treats, there was something for everyone to enjoy.

If it was the scent and serenity, you were after, Stone House Candles & Bath Bomb Emporium had you covered. Their stand at the market offered exquisite candles and bath bombs, perfect for anyone looking to bring home the tranquil vibes of aromatherapy.

And then there was Bambino’s arts & crafts, which had an awesome lineup of engaging and educational goodies just for kids. They rolled out everything from DIY kits to interactive toys and decor, all crafted to spark creativity and encourage learning through play. It was a hit, inspiring the imagination of every little builder and artist!

And for those into a more rustic vibe, Sharko Designs was there with beautifully laser-engraved wooden signs that added a natural charm to any space.

We kid you not when we say that The Big Apple is one of Ontario’s most unique and exciting places to visit with family and friends. There is a sit-down restaurant to enjoy your meals comfortably. Also, you've got to try our legendary apple pies and freshly baked apple bread , whipped up right from the apples we pick in our orchards, and baked fresh in our famous Pie Factory

Don’t forget to swing by our gift shop too. It’s stocked with all sorts of goodies from sweet treats to cool souvenirs like candies, mapple breakfast bundles , gifts for all occasions, and comfy winter wear.

Plus, we’ve got plenty of fun activities for everyone in the family. Get up close and personal with farm animals at our petting zoo, or take a swing at our mini-golf course. It’s loads of fun and also set against the stunning backdrop of the countryside... Perfect for players of all ages!
